Reception for Carroll Voelker’s
A reception and supper was given for Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Voelker at the home of
the grooms parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Voelker, Sunday, September 19th. Carroll
and his bide arrived from San Diego, California two weeks ago for a 30 day
leave.
Mr. and Mrs. Voelker were married in San Diego October 14, 1947.
150 guests wer present at the reception and a wedding Dance was given at the
Spencer Hall. The attending couples were Mr. and Mrs. Dick Fisher and Mr. and
Mrs. Kenneth Mellenthin. The ladies were dressed in suits and had corsages of
gardinias.
Out of town guests here for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Rose and
daughter of Wayside; Mrs. Emma Natzka, Two Rivers; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Voelker
and daughter, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Voelker and son, Mr. and Mrs.
Burdette McNaul, Chili; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schoerer and family, Mr. and Mrs. Art
Burchart, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Loos and family, Mrs. Anna Loos, Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Ohlinger and a great-grandmother, Mrs. Muller, who has reached the age
of 97 years, all of Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Gust Bellingberg, Ashland; and Mr. and
Mrs. Palmer Vinger, Greenwood.
