Kleckner, John B. (1916? - 9 SEP 1965)
John B. Kleckner, 49, Fairbanks Alaska, a former Eau Claire resident, died
Thursday at Sacred Heart Hospital. Mr. Kleckner was visiting his sister, Mrs.
Veronica Dole, 1422 Highland Ave., before leaving for Arizona, where he was to
make his home.
He was born in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and moved to Eau Claire shortly before
World War II. He entered service, and after the war worked at the U.S. Rubber
Co.
He alter attended the University of Illinois and then operated a jewelry store
in Bismarck, N.D.. In 1957 he moved to Fairbanks and retired Aug. 1 because of
ill health.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; two sisters, Mrs. Dole and Mrs. Reinhold
Doge, Chippewa Falls, and a brother, Fred, Ingram, Wis.
Funeral services were held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception
Church, with the Rev. Daniel J. O'Reilly officiating.
Burial was in St. Bernard's Cemetery at Thorp.
