Moh, Dora (3 November 1879 - 16 October 1968)
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Zion Lutheran Church in
Granton for Mrs. Dora Moh, 88, of Granton, who died Wednesday, October 16, at
the home of her son, Lucien Moh. The Rev. Roland Roehrs officiate d. Burial was
made in the parish cemetery.
Mrs. Moh, the former Dora Sternitzky, was born November 3, 1879, in the town of
Lynn. On June 20, 1909, she was married to Louis Moh, who died in 1936. They had
farmed east of Granton for many years. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran
Church and its Ladies Aid.
Survivors are: three daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Leona) Kroger of Hinsdale, Ill.,
Mrs. Ralph (Meta) Harris of Winona, Minn., and Mrs. Norman (Dorothy) Hannemann
of York, Nebr.; three sons, Armin and Lucien of Granton and Norbert of Des
Moines, Ia.; 15 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister, Mrs. Bertha
Bierwagen of Grass Valley, Calif.
Pallbearers were: Walter Schlinsog, Erwin Sternitzky, Allen Rizner, Louis
Grottke, Walter Trimberger and Louis Helm. Hymns were sung by Mrs. Roger Helm,
accompanied by Mrs. Leland Garbisch.
The Gilbertson Funeral Home of Granton made the funeral arrangements.
People from out of town here for the service included: Mr. and Mrs. Andrew
Kroger and son of Hinsdale, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Harris and David of Winona,
Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Roger Harris of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Suxland of Pipestone, Minn.; Rev. and Mrs. Norman Hannemann and family of York,
Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Moh of Des Moines, Ia.; Mrs. Alma Carey of Batavia,
Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hannemann of Mitchell, S. D.; Mr. and Mrs. Byron Lang
of Merrill; and Mr. and Mrs. John Engelman of Maywood, Ill.
