JOSEPH LOUIS DUPONT, gang sawyer, Valley Lumber Co., Eau Claire, came to Wisconsin in 1871, and located at Eau Claire. Was employed in rafting and piloting on the river for several years, and has been in his present capacity for four years. Was born in Canada, Nov. 1, 1841. Came to United States in 1865, and engaged in saw mills in Michigan. Was married at Eau Claire, April 6, 1881, to Mrs. Fannie Martin, who was born in Dayton, Ohio.
