GEORGE HUEBENER, hardware, firm of Miller & Huebener, came to Eau Claire in 1865 from Germany; engaged in milling two and one half years; then in buying wheat for Summermier. Was with Northwestern Lumber Company four years; began his present business in 1876. Was married to Anna Seidel in 1878. They have one child, George, born March, 1879. Mr. H. has passed all the honorary degrees of the Odd Fellows.
