SILAS E. COOPER, of the firm of Jackson & Sons, merchants. Was born in what is now the town of Annin, McKean Co., Pa., Sept. 1, 1843. Lived there until he came to Wisconsin in 1866. He was married in Annin, Pa., March 26, 1865, to Melvina R. S. Jackson; she was born in the town of Jasper, Steuben Co., N. Y. They have one child, Lilly D., born Aug. 30, 1867. Mr. Cooper is a member of I. O. O. F.
