MARION D. JACKSON, of the firm of Jackson & Sons, merchants, was born in the town of Jasper, Steuben Co., N. Y., Feb. 11, 1848. When he was about ten years of age, his parents moved with their family to Annin, McKean Co., Pa.; from there they came to Lincoln, Eau Claire Co., Wis., in the Fall of 1866; one year later came to Augusta; run the Sheridan House one year; afterward engaged in farming for two years, in Otter Creek; two years in photograph business, since then in mercantile business. Mr. Jackson was married in Annin, Pa., April 15, 1866, to Jane E. Terry, a native of McKean Co., Pa. They have six children — Minnie A., Davis A., Effie S., Daisie A., Nellie M. and Pearlie M. Mr. J. is a member of the I. O. O. F., Temple of Honor and Good Templars societies.
