Berdal, Andrew (31 DEC 1879 - 24 FEB 1952)

Andrew Berdal, 71, died of a lingering illness on Sunday, Feb. 24th, 1952, at his home in the Town of Colburn, Chippewa County, Wis.

Mr. Berdal was born in Austria on Dec. 31, 1879. He came to America in 1904 and located in Chippewa County in 1907, where he has since resided. He was a member of the Polish National Alliance of Thorp.

He was united in marriage to Julia Maslanka in Stanley in May 1908. Surviving him are his wife, five sons, Walter of Atlanta, Ga., Sgt. Raymond Berdal of Fort Snelling, Minn., Lawrence at home and Albin and Edward of Thorp; four daughters, Mina Berdal of Milwaukee, Iren, Mrs. Edward Slowiak, and Helen, Mrs. Alex Slowiak, of Stanley, and Albina Berdal of Chicago; and ten grandchildren. One son preceded him in death in 1928.
