Wozniak, Rose M. (Marriage - 27 NOV 1948)
The marriage of Miss Rose Marie Wozniak, daughter of Mrs. Sophie Wozniak of Cadott, and Frank Sandel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Sandel of Lublin, took place at St. Rose of Lima Chapel, Cadott, Wis., on Nov. 27th, 1948.
Miss Caroline Wozniak, sister of the bride, and Edward Sandel, brother of the bridegroom, attended the couple. The Rev. Ausman read the service from an altar of carnations, snapdragons and mums.
The bride, given in marriage by her uncle Stanley Kusmierz of Gary, Ind., wore a grey sharkskin suit with black hat and accessories. She also wore an orchid corsage. The attendant pinned an orchid to her brown sharkskin suit. Her accessories were black.
The bride’s mother was attired in a brown jersey dress with white mums and the groom’s mother was attired in a green dress, also with mums.
The ceremony was followed by a breakfast served at St. Joseph’s School in the basement, Cadott, and a dinner was served at 7:30 p.m. The basement was decorated with blue, pink and white streamers. The wedding cake was of three tiers.
About 80 guests attended the reception held at the bride’s home in the afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Sandel will make their home in Chicago, where Mrs. Sandel is employed.
The bride is a graduate of the St. Ann Catholic School and Stanley High School. The groom attended the Gilman High School. Also a pictorial Art Studios Superior Sign and Pictorial School, School of Applied Art and four correspondent school on cartooning, all in Chicago, Ill.
