BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF JEROME B. GALLAHER
JEROME B. GALLAHER, photographer, Chippewa Falls, came to Wisconsin in 1865. Located at Black River Falls, and carried on a gallery there for seven and one-half years; then went to Neillsville, Wis. Came to Chippewa Falls in 1875, and has been engaged in present business since. Born in Litchfield, Conn., Aug. 23, 1833. Went to Ft. Wayne, Ind., at twenty years of age, and learned trade there; then at Auburn, De Kalb Co., Indiana, for two years; then at Warsaw, Indiana, up to 1863. Enlisted in 129th Ind. I.; served until end of war; was engaged in nine battles; was quartermaster when discharged. Married in Auburn, Ind., Aug 18, 1858, Margaret Jane Ferguson, who was born in Ashland, Ohio. They have two children: Mary M. and Helen (now Mrs. Nicholas).
