Hansen, James P. (13 Nov 1904 – 26 Feb 1977)
James P. Hansen, aged 72, of Withee, passed away suddenly at his home on
Saturday, February 26, 1977 at 10:10 a.m. of an apparent heart attack.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. March 5, 1977 at
Nazareth Church Cemetery. Cremation will take place and there will be no funeral
services or visitation. The Reverend Lloyd Yaggie will officiated at the
graveside services
Mr. Hansen was born November 13, 1904 at Owen, Wisconsin, and attended the Owen
area schools. On March 10, 1926 he married the former Camilla Jalling at the
Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee.
Mr. Hansen worked for the Carnation Company, later the Blue Moon Company, in
Owen. He also operated Jim’s Dairy in Withee. From 1951 – 1970 he worked for
Buckingham Transportation Company in Minneapolis, moving back to Withee in 1970.
He was a past member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and a member of the Nazareth
Lutheran Church in Withee. The deceased is survived by his wife; two sons, James
E. Hansen of Eau Claire, and Gene Hansen of Minneapolis; one sister, Mrs.
Mathilda Hass of Owen, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Memorials may be given to Nazareth Lutheran Building Fund.
