Mrs. Dale (Nancy) Amacher of Owen has been elected First Vice President of the
Board of Directors for Lutheran Social Services (LSS) of Wisconsin and Upper
Michigan.
Mrs. Amacher has been a member of the LSS Board since 1973. She served as the
Board’s Secretary last year, and is also a member of the agency’s Personnel
Committee.
A member of Nazareth Lutheran Church, Mrs. Amacher served for five years as
Treasurer of the Church Council and was Vice President of the congregation’s
Lutheran Church Women. She also is a substitute teacher.
Las year Lutheran Social Services handled more than 6,200 cases through offices
and treatment facilities in 39 Wisconsin and Upper Michigan communities. In this
area, LSS has offices in Wausau, Marshfield and Eau Claire.
One of the largest agencies of its kind in the country, LSS provides a wide
range of direct and indirect social services for families, individuals,
congregations and communities.
