McHone, Clarence (28 February 1921 – 19 April 1988)
Sixty-seven-year-old Memorial Home resident Clarence McHone died Tuesday, April
19, at Memorial Hospital. Rev. Herbert Biermann conducted services Friday, April
22, at Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton. Caroline Helm was organist. Burial was
in Windfall Cemetery.
McHone was born February 28, 1921, in the Town of Fremont and received his
education there. On April 20, 1949, he married Norene Schlinsog at Zion Lutheran
parsonage. He lived in various places in the state where he worked on farms. He
was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving besides his wife are his daughters, Mrs. Charles (Gloria) Brody and
Mary Nystrom, both of Granton, a son, Clarence, Jr. also of Granton; nine
grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Jennie Wirtz, Poynette. He was preceded in death by
two brothers.
