SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Marjory Helen Stanley, 94, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at Sacramento, Calif.
She was born Feb. 15, 1905, in Velva, N.D., the daughter of Benjamin and Gertrude Wellman.
Marjory married George (Lyle) Stanley on May 26, 1924, in Rochester, Minn. They lived in Chippewa Falls before moving to Oxnard, Calif.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Chippewa Falls and Oxnard, and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Chippewa Falls. She had been living with her daughter, Helen, in Sacramento.
She is survived by: three sons, Rev. Edwin L. (Marjorie) Stanley of Velma, Okla., Rev. Lee G. (Katherine) Stanley of Lancaster, Calif., and Jay L. (Cordelia) Stanley of Ventura, Calif.; two daughters, Ada M. (Jerome) Reischel of Bloomer and Helen A. Stanley of Sacramento, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Benjamin; three sisters, Pearl, Marie and Dorothy; and one brother, Edgar.
Memorial services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Oxnard.
Graveside services will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Chippewa Falls at a later date.
Simple Traditions is in charge of cremation.
