BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF HENRY HERBERT
HENRY HERBERT, shoemaker, Chippewa Falls, came to Wisconsin in 1875. Located at this place, and was employed for one year at his trade, then commenced present business. Was Alderman of First Ward for 1880. Has been a member of New York Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. for nine years. Owns an improved farm of forty acres, on which he resides, about one mile from city. Born in Canada in 1846. Came to United States in 1864. and enlisted in 17th Vt. V. I., and served until close of war. Returned to Canada and remained until 1875. Married in Canada, July 13, 1869, to Margaret Kelly, born in Canada. They have live children: George C., Annie E., Patrick T., Mary A. and Margaret.
