Eichner, Rodney E. (MAY 1947 - 10 AUG 1947)
A two and one-half month old boy suffocated about 8:30 p.m. Sunday when he apparently rolled from a bed and became caught between the bed and a wall.
Rodney E. Eichner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Eichner, town of Goetz, about seven miles north of Cadott, was found dead by Mrs. Joseph Licht, his grandmother. She reported that she had placed the child on a large bed while she prepared three other grandchildren for bed in a different room. She found the child caught between the bed and wall when she returned, she said.
Mrs. Licht has been taking care of the children while Mr. and Mrs. Eichner attended a fair at Chippewa Falls. The children’s parents and Mrs. Licht said the child had never been able to roll over by himself before, but had apparently rolled to the edge of the bed and fallen into the space between the bed and wall.
