GRANTON-- Wade Pettit, a Granton High School Junior, will represent Central Wisconsin in the FFA state speaking contest to be held next week in Green Lake during the Wisconsin FFA Convention.

Pettit, who lives in the Town of Lynn, is one of 10 finalists in the state. His speech is on leadership. The 54th annual state FFA Convention will be held June 14 to 16. Convention speakers will include Harry Birdwell of the Oklahoma Association of Electric Co-ops and the 1969-70 FFA president; and Charlie Plumb, Shawnee, Kansas, who was a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War.
