Senior Citizens (Honored - 1980)
Volunteers were recently honored at the Neillsville Senior Center during
dedication ceremonies. Among those presented awards, and the hours they worked,
were Ed Greeler, 150 1/2, Ruth Ebert, 125; Ellsworth Sherwood, 104 1/2; Stephen
Tichy, 79 1/2; and Lizzie Greeler, 52 1/2.
Others honored for their efforts were Lawrence Hrach, Ellen Johnson, Theomore
Vine, Adeline Keuer, Elmira Junchen, Della Botnen, Harriet Hoesly, Lawrence
DeMert, Mabel Gallagher, Stella Davis, Forest Gault, Ruth Maegdefessel, Jacob
Hoesly, Norma Junchen, Velda Kalsow, Ottille Danielson, Nora Sherwood and Leona
Vine. Art Ackerman, center president, presented the awards.
Also acknowledged were the Listeman Foundation, the city of Neillsville, Farmers
Union Green Thumb, Russell Ratsch and Herbert Blum.
