Mazola, Frank M. (24 June 1912 – 20 August 1980)
Funeral services were held on the morning of Saturday, August 23, for Frank M.
Mazola, 68, of 218 Hewett St., Neillsville. Mazola passed away on August 20, in
Neillsville Memorial Home after a lengthy illness. The Rev. Joseph Henseler of
St. Mary’s Catholic Church officiated at the Gesche Funeral Home service, and
burial was made in the Dell’s Dam Cemetery.
Mazola was born on June 24, 1912, in Berwyn, Ill., to Frank and Helen (Dupravinski)
Mazola. As a young boy, he moved with his parents from the Chicago area to the
Town of Levis, where he received his education. On June 6, 1936, he married
Alice Thompson in Neillsville ceremonies.
The couple then moved to Chicago for work, returning then years later to the
Neillsville area where he farmed. He was also an employee of Neillsville’s
Farmer Store Company, for five years prior to retiring in 1975.
Surviving the deceased, besides his wife, are two sons, Ronald of Green Bay and
Richard of Hanover Park, Ill; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Joyce) Papecki of
Hanover Park and Mrs. Steve (Janet) Bridell of Onalaska; one brother, Joseph, of
Neillsville, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded
in death by one brother, John.
