Lamb, Ruth B.(10 December 1904 – 31 January 1988)

Ruth B. Lamb, 83, of Greenwood and formerly of Chicago, died Sunday, January 31, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Jerry and Carole Block in Greenwood.

Born December 10, 1904, in Chicago to Charles and Frieda Gall, she attended Chicago schools and graduated from Northwestern University with a teaching degree. She married Leslie Lamb during August 1939, in Chicago.

Survivors include a son, Dennis of State College, PA; one daughter, Carole Block of Greenwood; two sisters, Dorothy Rinehart of Leesburg, FL, and Charlotte Gall of Chicago, IL; two brothers, Harold of Frankfort, MI, and John of Narberth, PA, and three grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by a brother, Charles; and two sisters, Marion and Catherine.

No services or visitations were held; the body was cremated and interred in Chicago. Maurina Funeral Home in Owen handled local arrangements.
