Schultz, Elmer E. (14 September 1917 – 31 January 1988)
Rural Granton resident Elmer E. Schultz, 70, died at his Rt. 2 home on Sunday
afternoon, January 31, following a lingering illness.
Born September 14, 1917, in the Town of Grant, he was the son of Albert and Mary
(West) Schultz. Educated at Cunningham School and Neillsville High School, he
worked in Chicago for a few years then returned to farm in the Town of Grant.
For 18 years, he worked for Roll-a-Home, Marshfield, retiring several years ago
due to failing health. He married Grace E. Christensen in Winona, MN, on
September 6, 1942. She survives him.
Other survivors include three children, Eugene E. of Chippewa Falls, Dale E. and
Lar4ry L., both of Granton; a brother, Leonard of Neillsville; five
grandchildren and a great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents and
three sisters, Lua, Mira and Ila.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 3, from 6-9 p.m. at Gesche Funeral Home,
Neillsville, and one hour prior to 11 a.m. services at Zion American Lutheran
Church, Granton, on Thursday, February 4. Rev. Alice Hill will conduct the
rites. Mrs. Margie Dahl will accompany congregational singing. Burial will be in
the Town of Grant Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
