McDonald, Francis (3 October 1918-13 June 1983)

NEILLSVILLE -- Francis M. McDonald, 64, Route 1, Taylor, a former Neillsville area resident, died Monday in Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse.

Services will be Friday at Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville. The Rev. C. Arlene Denzer of United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Grant Cemetery.

The former Ila Schultz was born October 10, 1914 in the Town of Grant to Mr. and Mrs. Albert (Mammie West) Schultz. She received her education there and at Neillsville High School. She also attended University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and taught in area school until her marriage. She was married to George Erickson June 1, 1938 in Neillsville. They farmed in the Town of Grant.

She was a member of United Methodist Church, and the Neillsville Saddle Tramps Riding Club.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. William (Carol) Cook of Granton, and Mrs. Lyle (Donna) Troseth of Mosinee; two sons, Milton of Olympia Fields, Illinois, and Donald of Neillsville; one sister, Mrs. Ralph (Lula) Lund of New Richland, Minnesota; two brothers, Leonard Schultz of Neillsville, and Elmer Schultz of Granton; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, and a sister, Myra.
