Miss Sheri Sue Dix, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dix Jr., Route 1, Chili,
was given in marriage by her father June 11 to Bruce Robert Hanson, Alma Center,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Hanson, Granton.
The Rev. Frank R. Hinebaugh officiated at the ceremony in Immanuel United Church
of Christ, Chili. Organist was Mrs. Helen Grimm, Chili, with Mark Lavey of
Granton soloist/guitarist.
The white gown of organza and Chantilly lace with chapel train worn by the bride
was complemented with a picture hat holding a tango-length veil. She carried a
cascade of white roses, chrysanthemums and lavender carnations with purple
statice and baby's breath.
Mrs. Merle Rose of Chili was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Denise
Spaete, Granton; Miss Debra Dix, Pot Edwards; Miss Ronda Hoesly, Granton; and
Mrs. Rick Dix, Colby. They had lavender organza gowns, picture hats and nosegays
of white chrysanthemums, lavender carnations, purple statice and baby's breath.
Chelsie Hanson of River Falls was flower girl.
Kevin Comstock of Green Bay was best man. Groomsmen were Don Porsting, Jeff
Gaede and Dave Olson, all of Alma Center, and Rick Dix, Colby, and ushering were
Dan Hanson, Eagen, Minnesota, and Dave Dix, Chili.
The reception, dinner and dance were at the American Legion Hall at Loyal. After
a week's wedding trip to Florida, the newlyweds will live in Alma Center.
Both graduated from Granton High School, the bride in 1980 and her husband in
1979. She also graduated in 1982 from Mid-Dtate Technical Institute-Marshfield
as a ward clerk. Her husband is an auto body repairman at Alma Center Garage.
