Bogumill, Sylvia Marie (17 September 1933 – 24 January 2022)
Heaven received a spunky new angel on January 24, 2022. Sylvia Marie Bogumill
(“Pat” Schoenfeldt) age 88 years, died peacefully in her sleep at her family
home in Marshfield.
She raised six children, one with special needs, and was very proud of them all.
Pat was an avid reader, a seamstress, a costume creator, and an artist. She
loved the sun, the beach, a dirty martini, traveling, decorating for the
holidays, (especially Halloween), playing games, and spending time with her
family and friends. She had a fantastic memory and paid attention to details.
She was always a good listener and kept her family connected.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Hilda (Doberstein), her father, William
Schoenfeldt, her husband, William “Bill” Bogumill, and her son Gregg Bogumill.
As the youngest in a family of four, she also has lost her beloved siblings: Art
(Rita) Schoenfeldt, Mel (Virg) Schoenfeldt, Arlene (Bob) Patterson Hayes (Schoenfeldt).
Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her daughters, Cheri (Jeff)
Polster, Gail (John) Wirth, Vickie (Tim) Arndt, Tammy (Jeremy) Miller, and her
son Gary (Elena) Bogumill. She will be remembered and missed by her many
grandchildren: Amy (Antonio) King, Michael and Brandon Bogumill, Heather (Matt)
Betz, Patrick (Lyn) Polster, Matthew, Lucas (Jayden), and James Wirth, Aaron and
Dylan Handrich, Teagan and Savannah Miller, and her great grandchildren:
Jasmine, Justyce, Javonni, Janessa, Madison, Ryan, Tyler, Rhett, Elizabeth &
Patrick and also by her amazing neighbors, Peter and Julie Drachenberg.
Pat was a remarkably strong and energetic woman with a mischievous sense of
humor, always finding laughter when things didn’t go as planned. She thrived on
giving loved ones a hard time and seemed to enjoy it even more when the joke was
on her. She will be remembered for her teasing personality, her Chinese dinners,
Hawaiian Luaus, and her overall love for cooking. Most of all, she's remembered
for her competitive skills and ability to call numbers while playing a
not-so-friendly game of Aggravation. She was one of a kind and will be greatly
missed.
We are very thankful to all the caring people that have been a part of her life,
especially the loving care givers at Marshfield Senior Services, Hospice, and
all her caring and loving family and friends who were such an important part of
her life.
A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2022 in Marshfield,
Wisconsin - details to be announced at a later date.
In memory of Pat, donations in her honor can be made to Hospice or your favorite
charity.

deeply becomes part of us” – Helen Keller
