Lindner, Peggy L. (5 November 1955 - 23 January 2022)

Peggy L. Lindner, 66, Marshfield, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, January 23, 2022.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield.

Peggy was born on November 5, 1955, in Loyal, the daughter of Herschel and Colleen (Schweer) Teter and was a graduate of Loyal High School. After further education she worked at the Marshfield Clinic until 1997 when she became employed at the Marshfield Police Department retiring in January 2021 as Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police.

Peggy was united in marriage to Greg Lindner on April 7, 1979, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Peggy and Greg enjoyed many trips to Mexico. She had a passion for dogs and enjoyed walking her dogs. She also enjoyed girls weekends, reading, watching Wisconsin women’s volleyball, and was a Badgers and Packers fan. Known as Grandma Bird, she enjoyed watching Libby grow and always offered parenting advise and support.

She is survived by her husband, Greg and their children, Geoff Lindner of Marshfield and Sara (Trevor) Newman of DeForest and a granddaughter, Elizabeth “Libby” Newman. She is also survived by her mother, Colleen Teter of Marshfield, and her siblings, Allen (Susan) Teter of Marshfield, Cheri (Glenn) Patoka of Menasha, Michelle (Dean) Scherer of Greenwood, and Jenise (Bob) Oertel of Auburndale. She is further survived by parents-in-law, Bob and Joyce Lindner and in-laws, Steve (Mary) Lindner and Brad (Judy) Lindner and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Herschel Teter.

The family wishes to thank Cindy, Jodi, Deb, the girls at the Police Department, Lucky, Mary and Cheri for being there through Peggy’s struggle.
