Meihak, Mary Lynn (30 August 1980)

With music being offered by Paul Tess and Albert and David Meihak, wedding ceremonies took place on the afternoon of Saturday, August 30, for Mary Lynn Meihak and Jerald David Anderson, both of rural Neillsville. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Donald Meihak, Rt. 3 Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Anderson, Marshfield. The Rev. Norman Lindloff officiated at the St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church service.

Mrs. Randy Rendmeister, a friend of the bride from Merrillan, was matron of honor. She was joined by Shirley Meihak, a sister of the bride from Neillsville; Julie Meihak, a cousin of the bride from Fort Atkinson; and Lois Anderson, a sister of the groom from Marshfield.

Paul Haebig, a friend of the groom from Marshfield, was bestman. He was joined by Jim Anderson, a brother of the groom from Granton; Gary Meihak, the bride’s brother of Neillsville, and Makie Anderson, another of the groom’s brother’s from Marshfield. John Meihak, the bride’s brother of Neillsville, and Dennis Ertle, a cousin of the groom from Spencer, were ushers.

Amy Meihak, a niece of the bride, Neillsville, was flower girl, and Allen Meihak, the bride’s cousin from Wabasha, Minn., was ring bearer.

The bride chose a gown of nylon with organza over taffeta, featuring a wedding ring neckline, Venician lace appliques and full A-line circle skirt. She wore a Juliet-style cap with a walking length veil of matching lace. She carried a bouquet of red roses, light blue star flowers and white chrysanthemums. Her attendants wore ivory gowns with flue floral print over taffeta which snhowe3d A-line skirts, wide waist sashes and matching picture hats. They carried baskets of white daisies, blue carnations, white and blue roses and baby’s breath.

Following the wedding, a reception was held at St. John’s Lutheran School and at the Donald Meihak home. A dance was held that evening at the Granton Sportsmen’s Club. The couple left on a wedding trip to Yellowstone National Park. They will make their home in rural Neillsville.

The bride is a 1980 graduate of Neillsville High School. The groom is a 1972 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School and is employed by Land O’ Lakes in Spencer.
