Walker, Clifford Donald (14 April 1921 – 30 August 1980) With Flag
Funeral services were held September 2 at St. John’s United Church of Christ for
Clifford Donald Walker, Humbird. The Rev. Donald King of Osseo officiated with
burial made in the Town of Mentor Cemetery.
Walker passed away in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, on August 30. He was
born April 14, 1921, in Fairchild to Wesley Morton and Jessie (Flick) Walker. He
was educated in the Fairchild and Humbird Schools. He was a World War II veteran
and later worked as an auto mechanic in Humbird and Eau Claire. At the time of
his death he was employed at Nelson Muffler, Neillsville.
Walker was married to Edna Mae Fitzmaurice on September 21, 1946, in Humbird. He
is survived by his wife, Edna; one son, Arthur; one daughter, Janet (Mrs.
Burton) Olson; and one grandson, all are of Humbird. Also surviving are five
brothers, The Rev. Ralph Walker of Augusta, Melvin Walker, of Humbird, Bervil
(Bud) Walker of Fairchild, Manley Walker of Prairie Farms and Seth (Jack)
Walker, of Eustace, Tex.; four sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Zora) Sentek of Vesper, Mrs.
Alvin (Charlotte) Durham and Mrs. Jerry (Reta) Koranda, both of Neillsville, and
Mrs. Eugene (Wahanta) Diercks of Vesper.
