The Rev. C. Arlene Denzer, who was ordained at the annual conference of United
Methodist Churches June 1-6 at Stevens Point, has been appointed to serve United
Methodists parishes at Loyal, Granton and York Center.
She replaces the Rev. Charles Sanford, who had been appointed to a short-term
study leave and will be living in Tomahawk with his wife, the Rev. Lourinda
Sanford.
After receiving her degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point,
Pastor Denzer taught fifth grade for 13 years. While at wild Rose she decided to
enter the ministry. At Glenwood City she spent four years as a student pastor
and one year as pastor in the Glen Hills parish.
The new pastor is a native of Chippewa Falls. Her husband, the Rev. Lloyd
Denzer, is retired after 27 years in active ministry. They have two sons, two
daughters and five grandchildren.
