Paulsen, Hans C. (25 Nov 1903 – 27 Mar 1977)
Hans C. Paulsen, age 73, passed away at 12:20 p.m. at Memorial Hospital in
Medford on Sunday, March 27, 1977.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 30 at 1:30 p.m. at Nazareth
Lutheran Church in Withee. The Rev. Lloyd Yaggie officiated and burial followed
in Riverside Cemetery. Military rites were held at the cemetery by the Van
Huizen-Fritz Post 123 of Owen.
Mr. Paulsen was born on November 25, 1903 in Chicago and received his education
in the Frenchtown School, which was north of Withee. He worked for the Reynolds
Metal Company in Chicago until 1930, then worked for a short time in California.
He then returned to Frenchtown, where he worked as a carpenter until 1957, when
he moved to Perkinstown. He worked there as a carpenter, building houses on Lake
Katherine.
He served during World War II and was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a brother, Martin Paulsen of Withee, and a nice, Mrs. Nona
Salisbury, Phoenix, Arizona.
Preceding his in death were two brothers and a sister.
Pallbearers were Bernard Auberg, William Hoeper, Ed Hoeper, Sig Sorensen, Ben
Hill and Martin Keskimaki.
