Harings, Nicholas (13 May 1881 - 3 Feb. 1962)

Funeral services for Nicholas Harings, route 4, Chippewa Falls, who served as treasurer for the Town of Lafayette for 12 years, will be held Tuesday morning at 9:00 at Holy Ghost Church. Internment will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the Mason-Weber Funeral Home from 3 p.m. today, Monday, until the time of the funeral.

Mr. Harings, who passed away at St. Josephs Hospital on Saturday morning, was born May 13, 1881, in the town of Tilden, son of Bernard and Christine Niesen Harings. He had farmed in the Town of Lafayette for the past 50 years. His marriage to Mary Swaner took place September 18, 1917 at Holy Ghost Church in this city. Mr. Harings was a member of St. Bridget's Parish of Springfield, and he also attended Holy Ghost Church in this city.

Surviving are his wife, Mary, two brothers, John Harings of Tilden and Peter Harings of Bloomer, one sister, Mrs. Anna McQuillan of Boyd, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Mrs. Peter Stoffel, Mrs. Matthew Weber, Mrs. Peter Weber and Mrs. Donald Cameron.
