On Tuesday evening, April 19, 1977, John Bacon, the new mayor of the city of Owen, along with new 1st Ward Alderman, Everett Lindgren, will assume their new duties during an organizational meeting. Also 3rd Ward Alderman, Audrey Granquist, will begin her second term.

All three candidates ran in the spring general election on April 5th unopposed. The new mayor, John Bacon, will assume duties of outgoing mayor Edward J. Lehnen. Newly elected alderman, Everett Lindgren, will take up the office of the outgoing Norbert Pabich.
