Mazola, Joseph M. (11 December 1921 – 9 May 1988)
Mr. Mazola, 66, or Rt. 2 Neillsville, passed away following a brief illness on
Monday morning, May 9, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Visitation for
Joseph M. Mazola will be Wednesday evening, from 6-9 p.m. and Thursday morning
until 1:30 p.m. services at Gesche Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Forde, of Calvary
Lutheran Church will officiate. Marlys Clow will provide music. Friends and
relatives will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in the Neillsville City
Cemetery.
He was born in Manistique, MI, on Dec. 11, 1921, a son of Frank and Helen (Dubvinsky)
Mazola. When he was 2 years old, his family moved to the Town of Levis, Clark
County, where he later received his education. After his schooling, he was
employed for 22 years as a milk hauler. On Nov. 15, 1947, he married Iona E.
Peterson in Granton. They farmed in the Town of Levis for 27 years, retiring in
1986.
Survivors besides his wife are a daughter, Nancy Hansen, Pittsville, and a
granddaughter, Lacy. He was preceded by his parents and two brothers, John and
Frank.
