Nenahlo, Charles Jr. (13 December 1903 - 25 April 1988)
Former Neillsville resident Charles Nenahlo, Jr., 84, of Kewanee, died on
Monday, April 25, at the Kewanee Health Care Center. He was born on Dec. 13,
1903, in Reedsville, he was the son of Charles Jr. Sr. and Caroline (Kubale)
Nenahlo.
He worked at the Kewanee Co-op Store for thirty years until retiring in 1971. He
was also sexton of Holy Rosary Cemetery for 23 years. Mr. Nenahlo belonged to
C.O.F. Ct. 1084 of Kewanee. He married Bernice Knappmiller and she preceded him
in death in 1937. On May 29, 1939, he married Dorothy Seeman in Kewanee.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marie and Leo
Shefchik of Marshfield, Carol and Robert Heiter, Suring; two sons and
daughters-in-law, John and Jean, Green Bay and Robert and Mary, Tisch Mills; 17
grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Sr. Carolla of
Manitowoc; Sr. Caroline, Slinger and Mrs. Cecelia Poziombke, Neillsville.
Funeral services were held April 28 at Holy Rosary Church with the Rev. Daniel
Dewane officiating. Burial was made in the Parish Cemetery.
