Hansen, Charles A. (4 August 1904 – 17 June 1988)
Granton resident Charles A. Hansen, 83, died Friday morning, June 17, as a
result of an automobile accident. Services were conducted Monday, June 20, at
Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton. Rev. C. Arlene Denzer officiated. Burial was
in Windfall Cemetery. Pallbearers were Martin Hillert, Richard Grassman, Eugene
Walters, Norman Braatz, Billy Dahlke and William Beeckler.
Born August 4, 1904, in Burlington, IL, he was educated in Illinois. As a
machinist, he worked in the sewing machine industry at Universal Special,
Chicago. He was married and later divorced. About 19 years ago, he moved to
Granton.
Surviving are two children, Lewellyn Hansen of Illinois, and Marleen Bird of
Central, South Carolina; one grandchild; a great-grandchild and one
great-great-grandchild.
