Henning, Lottie M. (13 April 1912 – 1 June 1988)

Mrs. Herbert (Leona M.) Henning, 76, Neillsville, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 1 at Memorial Home. Born April 13, 1912, in the Town of Pine Valley, she was a daughter of William and Martha (Ott) Seelow. After her education at Mound School and St. John’s Lutheran School, she worked in the Neillsville area for several years. On December 12, 1934, she married Herbert M. Henning in Mishicot. The couple farmed in the Town of Weston until retiring in 1975. She was a member of Zion American Lutheran Church, Pine Valley.

Surviving besides her husband are four children, Ronald Henning, Ardis Zank and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Slemec, all of Neillsville, and Robert Henning of Plymouth; a sister and brother, Velda Hagen of Neillsville and Louis Seelow of Chaseburg; 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; six brothers, Edward, Arthur, Herbert, Albert, Arnold and Paul; and a granddaughter, Linda.

Visitation was at Gesche Funeral Home. Rev. Alice L. Hill conducted services on Saturday, June 4, at Zion American Church, Pine Valley. Mrs. Elsie Sischo, soloist, was accompanied by Mrs. Virginia Karnitz. Interment was in Neillsville City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Herman Carl, Ted Stiemke, Rufus Karl, Julius Hagedorn, Everett Dux and Kenneth Karnitz.
