St. John's Catholic Church was the setting for the June 18 Wedding of Miss Lori Lea Guenther, daughter of Mrs. Elmer Guenther, 2001 E. Becker Road, and the late Elmer G. Guenther, and Patrick Anthony Schmidt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Berland Schmidt, Route 3, Neillsville.

The Rev. Donald F. Wilger officiated at the ceremony during which the bide was given in marriage by her mother. Music was provided by Mrs. Clarice Butkus, organist; and Lonna Drach, soloist.

A gown of organza and chantilly lace with chapel train was worn by the bride, who had a matching veiled headpiece. She had a nosegay of roses in dusty rose hue, white carnations and baby's breath.

Carrying similar flowers were her attendants, Miss Patty Pischel of Route 4, Marshfield, maid of honor, and Mrs. Kenneth Mertens, Marshfield, and Mrs. Jerry Zepplin, Rockford, Illinois, bridesmatrons, They had knit formals with capes, Kim Zepplin and Milton Schmidt were miniature bride and bridegroom respectively.

Tim Schmidt was best man. Groomsmen were Kenneth Mertens of Marshfield and Jerry Zepplin, Rockford, Illinois, and ushering were Philip and Dennis Schmidt.

The reception, dinner and dance were at Marshfield Labor Temple. After a honeymoon at an undisclosed place, the Schmidts will live in Marshfield.

The bride, who works at the K-Mart, is a 1982 Marshfield Senior High School graduate, and her husband, an employee of Clover Cream Dairy, graduated in 1981 from Neillsville High School.
