Three judges enjoyed the variety of 43 entries in the annual June Dairy Recipe
Contest Monday night at the Clark County Electric Auditorium.
Dennis Buege, associate professor, Extension meat specialist, University of
Wisconsin-Madison, also had a presentation "The Tasty World of Sausage."
Sherri Donahue of Neillsville was named first place winner in the dairy recipe
contest by judges Bud Smith of Loyal, Anita Schecklman of Neillsville and Jane
Evenson of Neillsville. Roseann Olson of Loyal, first place winner last year and
chairman of this year's event, announced the winners.
Other winners are Debbie Helm of Neillsville; Mary Ann Olson pf Loyal, Marilyn
Slipek of Thorp, Jean Koski of Loyal, Anne Marie Wolf of Loyal, Bunny Dux of
Neillsville and Joan Weyer of Loyal.
Buege had recently returned from Germany where he gained first-hand knowledge of
sausage varieties and gave a sausage-making demonstration.
