Miss Tammy Marie Akey, 901 E. Kalsched St. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Akey of 105 N. Purdy Ave., was given in marriage June 18 by her father to Richard Robert Wegner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl R. Wegner, Neillsville.
The Rev. Ronald A. Jensen officiated at the service at Immanuel Lutheran Church, assisted by the Rev. Steven J. Brice of St. John's Catholic Church.
Kathy Bradle was organist/soloist guitarist.The bride had a Victorian gown of white chiffon and schiffli lace with catherderal-length train and two-tiered three-quarter length veil of illusion and matching lace. In her bouquet were roses, carnations, daisies and baby's breath.
Her attendants were Miss Lori Schroeder, Marshfield, maid of honor, and Miss Lynne Thiemke, Miss Renee Giese and Miss Linda Schueller, all of Marshfield, the bridesmaids. They had apricot chiffon and white lace formals, halos of Baby's breath and carried bouquets of roses, carnations, daisies and baby's breath.
Jerry Pfeiffer of Neillsville was best man. Groomsmen were Scott Wegner of Neillsville. Bruce Langreck of Appleton and Mark Sydorowicz, Neillsville. Ushering were Robert Akey, Marshfield, and Charles Wegner, Neillsville.
The dinner, reception and dance were at Holiday Inn, Marshfield. After a week's Canadian honeymoon, the Wegners will live at the bride's address.
The bride graduated in 1981 from Marshfield Senior High School and is a cashier accountant at K-Mart. The bridegroom graduated in 1976 from Neillsville High School and spent a year at the University of Wisconsin Center-Marathon County and another year at the UW-Stevens Point. He works for Nelson Industries.
