Adolph Gorke, Dorchester, has been elected a director of the Wisconsin Lions
Foundation, the program arm for the 23,000 Lions Club members of the state.
Gorge joined the Lions in 1958. He was been a director, secretary and president
of his Dorchester Lion Club. At the district level, he has been a zone chairman,
deputy district governor and in 1978 was elected district governor. He was the
district governor's state council representative to the Foundation that same
year. He was extension chairman in his district and is currently membership
development chairman.
He received the 100 Percent Governor Award, a Key Award and has three Extension
Awards.
Gorke operates Gorke Bus Service Inc., in Dorchester and Athens and Gorke Sales
Inc. in Dorchester.
He and his wife, Marge, have three children Greg, Sheila (Steinmetz) and Mark.
