Pastor and Mrs. Harry Landaw of the Owen Alliance Church left Sunday for
Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where joining over 2,000 other church leaders and
representative from 45 countries at the 80th Annual General Council of the
Christian and Missionary Alliance (C& MA). An evangelical church, the Alliance
has over 8,000 congregations around the world, including 1,512 in the United
States and Canada.
Dr. Nathan Bailey, President of the C&MA, will convene this international
convention on May 10, 1977 in Calgary’s Jubilee Auditorium. (Dr. Bailey is also
the elected present of the National Association of Evangelicals, and
inter-church organization with member local churches from 65 different
denominations.) The General Council sessions, including official meetings, as
well as daily worship services, will conclude on May 15 with a great Missionary
Rally Spotlighting the work of 915 Alliance missionaries around the world.
