Fredrickson, Leland (17 JUL 1918 - 23 MAR 1950)
Leland Fredrickson, 31, town of Colburn, passed away Thursday night, March 23, 1950 at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire following an operation two days previous.
He was born July 17th, 1918 in Shawano County and moved with his parents and family on Jan. 1st of this year, where he assisted his father and brothers in the management of the Progressive Cheese Factory, which they purchased.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nels Fredrickson, four brothers, Ward of Abbotsford; Norman, Norbert and Dale at home, and three sisters, Mildred, Mrs. Joseph Weisbrad of Fort Bragg, N.C., and Jeanette and Betty at home. All were here for the funeral, as was Joseph Weisbrad and daughter Monica.
The body was at the Plombon Funeral Home in Stanley until the time of the funeral, which was held Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Stanley, with Rev. John Alver of Cornell officiating and interment in the Evergreen Cemetery at Stanley. Pallbearers were Joe Haase, Clifford Kelly, Elroy Pattiz, Benny Hingis, Robert Cricklo and Earl Eakes.
Flower girls were: Wilma Erickson, Yvonne Nelson, Carol Kelly, Nancy Olson, Kay Mattes and Iva LaFlex.
