Hanson, Jane Ruth (6 September 1980)
Jane Ruth Hanson and Dennis Michael Marksteiner were united in marriage on the
afternoon of Saturday, September 6, at the United Methodist Church in
Neillsville. The Rev. William Noble officiated. The bride is the daughter of
Earl and Jean Hanson, and the groom is the son of Anthony and Betty Marksteiner,
all of Neillsville. The father of the bride presented her to the altar.
Jennifer Hanson, a cousin of the bride from Neillsville, was maid of honor. The
was joined in the party by Carla Struensee and Donna Hahn, both Neillsville
friends of the bride, and Doreen Marksteiner, the groom’s sister from
Neillsville.
Joining the groom as his attendants were friends, LCP Paul Ludwig, California,
was bestman. He was joined by Donald Sladek and Dale Walz, both of Granton, and
Bill Hadon of Wildwood, IL. Ushering were David Marksteiner, a brother of the
groom, and Michael Struensee, a friend , both from Neillsville.
The bride chose a floor-length, lace gown featuring a scoop-neck and train. Her
(blur) hand-veil was of finger-tip length and had lace trim. She carried
burgundy silk roses with cascading baby’s breath. Her attendants wore burgundy,
sleeveless gowns which were of floor-length and had scoop necks. They carried
eggshell and burgundy colored-long stemmed roses. The groom and his attendants
chose beige tuxedos.
Following the formal service, a luncheon was held at the church hall and an open
house was held at the home of the groom’s parents.
Bridal party pictures were taken by Donald, the groom’s brother. Prenuptial
events included a shower hosted by Jennifer Hanson.
The bride is a 1980 graduate of Neillsville High School. The groom is a 1978
graduate of the same school and is employed by the Neillsville-Granton Farmers
Union Cooperative. They will make their home on Rt. 1 Neillsville.
