Horvat, Camille Margaret (13 September 1980)
Making their new home in Willard are Mr. and Mrs. James Van Dyk, who were
recently united in marriage in ceremonies at Holy Family Catholic Church,
Willard, on the early afternoon of Saturday, September 13. The Rev. James J.
Lesczynski officiated at the rites with the parents of the bride presenting her
to the altar.
The bride, Camille Margaret Horvat, is the daughter of Rudy and Lavonne Horvat,
Willard and the groom is the son of John and Delores Van Dyk, Chili.
Cynthia Bolf, Greenwood, was the matron of honor. She was joined by Lavonne
Lindner of Greenwood, Diane Rakestraw of Neillsville and Debbie Horvat of
Rushford, MN. Dawn and Becky Rakestraw of Neillsville were flower girls.
Joe Weis of Auburndale was bestman. He was joined by Dennis Horvat of Rushford;
Steward Gilbertson of Warrens and Rudy Horvat, Jr., of Willard. Ushering were
Steve and Scott Horvat, both of Willard.
Steve Meissner offered vocal solos for the ceremonies. He was accompanied by
Bonnie Meissner.
The bride chose a gown of silk-loomed, sheer Farrah, trimmed with Chantilly lace
and seed pearls. A high neckline, long sleeves and skirt sweeping to a
chapel-length train accented the gown. Her matching veil was lace edged. She
carried a cascade of red roses, stephanotis and baby’s breath. Her attendants
wore light blue pleated dresses and carried nosegays of blue carnations, white
daisies and baby’s breath.
Following the wedding, a reception was held at the Holy Family parish hall in
Willard. A dance at the Village Plaza in Spencer followed.
The bride is a 1977 graduate of Greenwood High School is employed as a nursing
assistant at the Neillsville Memorial Home. The groom is a 1977 graduate of
Marshfield Senior High School and is employed as an assemblyman for Nelson
Muffler of Neillsville.
