Culbertson, Clarence B. (1869? - 29 JAN 1951)
Clarence B. Culbertson, attorney at Stanley since 1895, passed away at the Marshfield Hospital early Monday morning. He had been in ill health for some time.
Mr. Culbertson opened his law office in Stanley in 1895, originating from Edinboro, Pa. He was the oldest practicing lawyer in Chippewa Co. where he served as district attorney from 1895 to 1906. He also was a member of the Elks Club, Odd Fellows and Masons.
Mr. Culbertson was well known in the Thorp community and made regular weekly trips her for many years.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, James of Glencoe, Ill., and Charles of Mateo, Calif., one sister, Mrs. J. C. Gapen of Oak Park, Ill., five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted at the Stanley Presbyterian Church at 2:00 o’clock, Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. Walh?? Of Eau Claire as officiating clergyman. The Stanley Masonic Lodge was in charge of the services and burial was made in the Oakland Cemetery there.
