Mrs. Gustav (Emma) Braun, 86, Owen, died at Havenet Nursing Home at 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, June 16, 1977.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Withee,
the Rev. Kenneth L. Loehrke officiating. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Braun, nee Anger, was born October 23, 1890 in Sheboygan. She married
Gustav Braun in 1908 in Colby, where they lived until 1914, when they moved to
Owen.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Thorvald (Genevieve) Carlsen of Withee,
Mrs. Myrtle Regner of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Mrs. Iris Lawrence, Pompano
Beach, Florida, and Mrs. Beatrice Flodin, Minneapolis, Minnesota; one son, Myron
Braun, Oakland, California; three brothers, Arnold Anger in Owen, Eddie and Paul
Anger, both in Canada; three sisters, Mrs. Lydia Carner of Long Beach,
California, Mrs. James (Ida) Johnson, Moosejaw, Canada, and Mrs. Leona Schmidt,
Toronto, Canada; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who died July 3, 1939, one daughter
and one brother.
