Bayuk, Marine Sgt. Patrick (Service Notes - 1980)
The U.S. military periodically announces that area men and women were recently
promoted, received special training or were honored for their efforts. Among
these were:
Marine Sgt. Patrick Bayuk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bayuk, Willard, who is
participating in an exercise known as “Team Work 80.” The Sgt. Is a member of
the Marine Aircraft Group 40, based at Cherry Point, N.C. The exercise is being
conducted in the North Atlantic, English Channel and the North and Norwegian
Seas and involves more than 60,000 personnel, 170 ships and 400 aircraft from
Canada, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, the United Kingdom
and the U.S. (Bayuk is a 1974 graduate of Greenwood High School and enlisted in
October 1974.)
