Zager, Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Silver - 1980)
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Zager, Sauk Rapids, Mn., recently celebrated their 25th
anniversary with all of their relatives. The Zagers formerly lived in the
Neillsville area. Mrs. Zager is the former Shirley Holt.
A dinner was held at the Wildcat Inn for the group. Cake and punch were served
at the Fern Holt home in the evening. An anniversary cake was the table
centerpiece, being decorated with the original top from their wedding.
Attendants at their wedding were Mary Ellen, Jerry Johnson and Nancy Tresemer.
All were present for the occasion.
Shirley wore a corsage and Robert a boutonniere, which were gifts from their
children.
Thirty-eight guests were present. They included Mr./Mrs. Robert Zager, Rick,
Mike, Sandi and Juli, Sauk Rapids, Mn., and Fern Holt, Mr./Mrs. Louis Henchen,
Mr./Mrs. Jerry Johnson, Mr./Mrs. Ed Tresemer, and Tim, Ellen Johnson, Millie
Dorn, Mr./Mrs. David Lewis and Mr./Mrs. Pete Zager, of Neillsville.
Out of town guests were Mr./Mrs. William Kent, Rickey and Lori, Winona, Mn.;
Mr./Mrs. Frank Zager, Mr./Mrs. Ed Perkl, of Willard; Anne Merlak, Loyal; Sally
Schwartz and Mr./Mrs. Dennis Buchholz, of Greenwood; Mr./Mrs. LeRoy Krall, West
Salem; Cheryl and Sue Henchen, Eau Claire; and Tom Henchen, Onalaska.
The Zagers received a silver money tree from their guests. It was made by Nancy
Tresemer and Mary Ellen Johnson.
The group also enjoyed a special family dinner at the home of Shirley’s mother,
Fern Holt on Sunday.
