Potocnik, Mr./Mrs. Emil (40th – 19 Jun 1977)
On Sunday, June 19, 1977 friends and relative of Emil and Elsie Potocnik
gathered at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Dale Amacher,
to help them celebrate their 40th Wedding Anniversary at an Open House
celebration.
The party was hosted by their four children, Betty Nichols of Anderson, Indiana,
Nancy Amacher of Owen, Sally Ewert of Belvidere, Illinois, and Dennis Potocnik
of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, who were all present for the occasion.
Emil and Elsie were married June 19, 1937 in Neillsville, Wisconsin, and have
lived in rural Owen and Fifield, Wisconsin before moving to their present
residence on Fifth Street twenty-five years ago. They are both custodians for
the Owen-Withee School System.
Friends attending the celebration from father away were: Mr. and Mrs. Ernest
Brien of Fond du Lac, Gertie Brien (nee Puro), who was maid of honor at their
wedding Other friends were Ray and Vi Nichols of College Park, Georgia, Mrs.
Ingrid Laakso and Sandra Dugan of Portage, Wisconsin, Mr. and Mrs. George
Frahmann of Mercer, Wisconsin, and numerous friends and relatives from Owen and
Withee and the surrounding area.
