Ustianowski, Virginia Roseann (19 November 1932 – 1 February 2022)
Virginia R. Ustianowski, 89, Lublin, passed away at her home on Tuesday,
February 1, 2022.
Virginia Roseann Syryczuk was born on November 19, 1932, in Lublin, the daughter
of Andrew and Anna (Nowak) Syryczuk. She was raised on the family farm, educated
at Polley school, and graduated from Gilman High School. After graduation,
Virginia attended Teachers College in Medford earning her teaching
certification. She began her teaching career at a one room school house in the
Town of Holway. During the summer months, Virginia attended summer school at
UW-Stevens Point. She would later teach in Stanley before joining the
Owen-Withee School District where she taught elementary students until her
retirement in the mid 1980's.Even after retiring, Virginia served as a
substitute teacher for several school districts over the years. In addition,
Virginia also helped on the dairy farm until 2000, when they sold the farm to
their son, Dan and daughter-in-law, Tina. They moved into Lublin where she
resided until her death.
She had many interests, but especially enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, and
loved "being on the road". Additionally, she loved listening to polka music and
was self-proclaimed as the #1 fan of the Chad Przybylski polka band!
Virginia was a very active member of St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church
where she served in various capacities. She was also active in area 4-H Clubs
for many, many years.
She is survived by her 7 children: Michael (Pat) of Gilman, Sharon Ustianowski
of Lewis, CO, Terry (Pam) of Dover, FL, Jody (Cheryl) of Lublin, Kelly
Ustianowski of Waycross, GA, Dan (Tina) of Lublin, and Natasha Ustianowski of
Sturgeon Bay; 13 grandchildren: Randy, Billy, Julia, Christina, Laci, Nathan,
Kyle, Kody, Hunter, Blake, Branden, Max and Dex; 4 step-grandchildren: Morgan
Christensen, Mitchell Grandaw, Ben and Roman Larson; 7 great-grandchildren:
Marcel, Ashton, Huxley, Bohdan, Wesley, Natalie, Franklin; and 1
step-great-grandson: Bennie, Jr; 1 brother: Irving Syryczuk of Medford; nieces,
nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Michael, her son:
Jeffrey, her step-great-grandson: Joseph; 2 brothers: John and Donald Syryczuk,
and 1 sister: Lorraine Flodin.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at St.
Mary's Polish National Catholic Church in Lublin. Rev. Marion Talaga will
officiate, and burial will follow in the parish cemetery with Virginia's
grandchildren serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at the church on
Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
