Elmer, Anna (11 May 1891-24 June 1983)
GREENWOOD -- Mrs. Anna Elmer, 92, formerly of Greenwood, died Friday afternoon
in Milwaukee, where she had been residing with her daughter, Mrs. James
(Estelle) Noonan.
Services will be Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Joseph R.
Kraly officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Borkowski, Glen Knicker and Bernard, Everett, David
and Darwin Elmer.
Visitation will be at Rinka Funeral Home.
The former Anna Hendrickson, daughter of Mr. and Mr. Alexander (Marie Peterson)
Hendrickson, was born May 11, 1891, in Greenwood. She and Ervin Elmer were
married in 1912 and later divorced.
She received her education in rural Greenwood school and before her marriage she
worked in Chicago.
After the Elmers were married, they farmed in the Town of Beaver until 1972. She
spent the winters in Arizona with her sons and the summers with her daughters.
Surviving are two sons, Everett of Milton and Donald of Youngtown, Arizona; four
daughters, Mrs. Henry (Beatrice) Borkowski of Chicago, Mrs. Louis (Vera) Dexter
of Anaheim, California, Mrs. James Estelle) Noonan of Milwaukee and Mrs Oril
(Edna) Swieso of Federal Way, Washington; a brother Arthur Turnquist, Greenwood;
13 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister and two brothers.
